GREG LYLES, President & Broker
A graduate of Auburn University, where he studied Architecture before earning a degree in Finance, Greg has been a fixture in the Atlanta real estate market for more than 25 years. In addition to his construction and development experience, Greg served as a trusted real estate advisor to many Fortune 500 companies, developers and wealthy families. After retiring from development in 2001, Greg focused his considerable experience on his real passion — selling fine homes and sporting properties. Involved in land since his youth, Greg learned the business working on his family’s timber and hunting properties in Georgia and Alabama.
Greg’s areas of client service include buyer and seller representation for estate-quality building lots, luxury homes and sporting properties throughout the South. In 2008, he topped $420 million in career transactions.
Greg credits his success as a top broker to having a strong understanding of real estate. “I’ve learned by doing — by having my own money at risk.” Whether he was developing multifamily and retail projects throughout the Southeast or building, and now selling, homes, Greg says, “It’s the fundamentals that count; knowing your market, knowing values, understanding the contracts, having innovative and consistent marketing, and ensuring your clients’ interests are placed ahead of everything else.” Tony Reaves, a builder of luxury homes including an $11 million home currently listed with Conrad Lyles Realtors, agrees, “Greg understands the business in a way very few agents do. He helps me make critical business decisions that always result in successful sales. I count on him for my lot purchases, all of which are private sales, and to market my homes. He’s the only broker I’ll work with.”
An Atlanta native, Greg is married to Annis Lyles. They have twin children attending Holy Innocents’ and are active members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church. An avid outdoorsman, Greg enjoys fly fishing, quail hunting and horses. He is a member of the Social Shooting Club, a competitive sporting clays group, as well as the Nature Conservancy, Quail Unlimited and the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation. |
